M&S Bromley: Man fined after stealing boxers and vests

A man has been fined £22 in court after stealing nearly £400 worth of boxers and vests from an M&S store in Bromley.

David Cox admitted to stealing the vests and boxers to the value of £372 from the M&S in Bromley High Street on January 27, 2022.

Cox, 64, was ordered to pay £22 for the offence during a hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on March 11, 2022.

This is a surcharge to fund victim services.

Cox, of Neckinger Estate in SE16, was also discharged conditionally for 18 months.

He was not given an order for costs as he is on universal credit and is “trying to get his life back”, according to the courts.

The £22 must be paid by April 8, 2022.
