Family of missing Eltham dad make emotional plea for him to come home

The family of a missing dad from Eltham have made an emotional plea for him to come home.

Shaune Jones, 49, was last seen in June 2017 and has not been heard from since.

The dad-of-five, who also has a granddaughter, ran his own cleaning business in Eltham and his disappearance was “out of character”, police say.

Shaune’s devastated sister, Suzie Maltwood, has pleaded for help from the public in finding her brother.

She said: “Shaune is missed very much by his family.

“It’s approaching four years with no trace of him and we are growing increasingly worried about his welfare and what’s happened to him.

“If anyone has any information, no matter how small you think it is, please understand that it may be relevant to us and could help us to bring Shaune home.

“Knowing where he is, or what has happened to him would be the best Christmas gift that we could receive.”

It’s believed the last physical sighting of Shaune was at Shurland Dale Holiday Park in Eastchurch, Kent.

Detectives investigating his disappearance are urging Shaune to get in contact with them.

They would also like to speak with anyone who knew him and who may know of any reasons for him to lose contact.

PC Jim Bennett, of the Met Police’s safeguarding team, said: “We need to find out what has happened to Shaune.

“His family will soon be spending their fourth Christmas without him which must be enormously distressing for them.

“I am very keen to hear from Shaune or from anyone who can provide information on where he may be.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police at the South East Command Unit on 101, or tweet @MetCC quoting 18MIS014878.
